Tron Disney Biography
With the release of a new film, the Tron franchise is getting a lot of attention. What I find particularly interesting is that it’s been so long since we have seen anything relevant that is Tron related, younger generations don’t even know about Tron much less understand what it’s all about.
The idea of Tron was created by Steven Lisberger and Donald Kushner. They already had much of the story in place and everything centered on the visual concept of the film: live action with computer-generated imagery (CGI). However the visual scope of the film translated to an overwhelming investment that scared studios away.
